Advantages of plate beamsplitters:

3. Cheaper than cube type

Disadvantages of plate beamsplitters:

1. The high frequency of adjustment, because the optical path of the output light is deviated from the incident light.

3. The optical path deviates greatly from the incident optical axis due to the refractive index of the substrate.
