Cube type non-polarizing beam splitter

Non-polarizing beamsplitters with a 1:1 splitting ratio are beamsplitters that minimize the difference between P-polarized light (Tp) and S-polarized light (Ts), and P-polarized light (Rp) and S-polarized light.

Advantages of Cube Beamsplitters:

1.Since the thin film is sealed by two prisms and does not come into contact with the air, the thin film does not easily deteriorate.
2. Devices can be designed in a space-saving manner
3. Large separation width between p-polarized light and s-polarized light
4. Good incident angle dependence due to the refractive index of the substrate
5. Optical path does not change

Disadvantages of Cube type Beamsplitters:

1.Because the incident light is incident at zero degree, stray light bounces easily and causes noise.
2.Because of the prism configuration, it is heavier than the plate type
3. More expensive than plate type
